Mia Michaels is an amazing choreographer. I absolutely love her but she should leave the judging to others. We all love Alex and will miss him but since he wasn't competing she should have not mentioned him while judging the other dancers. She was rude and I would hope that she sees that while watching the playback. A public apology is in order. Bring back Mary Murphy.
  • thecap
Mia needs to stick to choreography! I miss Mary and all the other guest judges! The show just isnt the same. Even Adam seems different. Mia is just downright rude!

If Alex injury is as severe as they said, he won't be dancing for a while. Even if he is put in the bottom 3, he won't be able to do a solo. The judges have to let him go as he won't be able to dance next week with that injury. Too dangerous to even try as it would probably end his dancing career. They will have him back next year again. Maybe 3 will be his lucky number.

I miss Alex! He is by far the best dancer and in a class by himself! I experienced the achilles tendon small tear- excruciating pain and 3 months in a boot- if it is a full rupture it won't matter what the policy is or what the judges do. He' ll be in rehab- who knows it might heal might be a career ender. My prayers are with him. It seemed like his injury affected everyone and last night the whole show went flat.. lost its energy, enthusiasm and sparkle. It seemed like everyone held back a little.

While I think Cat's comment was neccessary because the judges (mainly Mia) are HORRIBLE with really explaining themselves, I still sort of agree with the judges.

I dont get why Adechike is still around. I feel NOTHING when I see him dance. Homeboy can dance, thats not the issue. I see him and see no passion, no character, no nothing. He dances and then pops into character when he is ready. What the judges needed to say last night - hey adechike, you are an awesome dancer but being an awesome dancer doesnt win this competition. you need more - or something to that effect.

And I dont think Jose should stay solely on performance and I think they both should go in the next couple weeks.

can bring back mary murphy... because i am miss her so much... and just her that can judge correctly
  • Sera
I think Nigel, Mia and Adam should be in the bottom 3 and Mia got to be eliminated.
  • IA
I miss Alex. I don't think he was a sure bet to win like some people are saying since history has shown most improved always wins not best dancer per se. Anyway... I hope he doesn't try to keep dancing if he is injured- no use jeopardizing the rest of an entire career for one competition.

This is a competition, right? In competitions, if you don't/can't perform in one round, you don't advance to the next round. Period. Alex delivered one the singular performances of this shows history, no doubt. But he didn't perform this week and to advance him over some who would be a farce.
  • CMG
Actually, in the past, their policy has been to let the public vote on whether they should be in the bottom 3 (see Noelle in Season 5 and Jessi in Season 3). So they're being harder on Alex than they've been on other injured contestants.
  • Guest
That's always been their policy. Last year Noelle was injured and I'm not sure they even put her in the bottom three.
  • CM
Just because it has always been their policy, doesn't mean that it is the correct policy. They were incorrect with Jessi and Noel, and unless the judges vote of Alex (which there is almost zero chance of happening), they will be incorrect with Alex. There is not a single thing in life were one can fail to perform and still move on to the next the level.

Was it unfair that Alex got hurt? Of course, but we need to start realizing that there are two type of unfairness. The first is the natural byproduct of the randomness of the world we live in and there is nothing we can do about that. Said randomness is the root cause of the tragedy, and the beauty, that can be found in the world we live in.

The second type of unfairness is man-made. Voting of someone who did perform over someone who was unable too is a man-made unfairness and is something we really should have no use for, or tolerance of.

    Just my two-cents...

Ugh the judges are so rude to adechike and it is very uncalled for. There is a diff between giving constructive critisism and being just rude. Saying I miss Alex I wanted to see him do this he would have been good is just bad taste Mia. And also after cat's comment saying well Jose has heart...what the hell Mia way to be a complete b**** seriously bc adechike has heart too... Ugh it's just rude. I have never been so disgusted about a show in my life. And i'm sorry but if I was being picked apart by someone I would look upset too I mean these contestants have feelings.

Very sad about Alex he is amazing and I think if he can't dance it will completely change the competition. Crossing my fingers he is not out of the competition.

Kent and Lauren were amazing and I was very happy to see the contestants actually dance with each other this week I have missed that. It was also nice to see Ashley do hip hop (those pants were horrible though) I have really grown to like her a lot. Robert did a good job this week too and I like him way more than billy.

If only we could vote to take jose off... I know he has good personality but his DANCING sucks

The judges were rude to adechike and I love Kat for what she said

I am also sad about Alex and I don't believe he should be kicked off... I had hopes that he would win... Sad!

    Also Kent is awesome!!!!!
  • Michael
I agree with what Cat said. Jose to me is like Dominic. Entertaining dancer, but doesn't belong with the great dancers left right now. And every critique of his seems to revolve around his spirit or smile or making the judges smile. This is a DANCE competition! Personality is needed, but you need to also at least arguably be one of the top 3 or so dancers to win I think.

I think Robert has a good mix of personality and talent. But Alex was definitely my fav before he got injured. :(

I also agree that Adichicke gets harshly judged, and like him above fake ass Kent (or if Kent is genuine, he reminds me of Screech from Saved By the Bell with his facial crap).
  • But unlike Dominic, when Jose was given Contemporary he just stood there and stared at Lauren like a puppy while she danced literal circles around him. Dominic and Sabra's contemporary is right up there with Legacy and Kathryn and Ivan and Allison's as an example of a dancer growing before our eyes, as they found new depths to themselves, technique or no. I didn't see any of that growth last night in Jose, and I'm sick of listening to the judges laud him for being a nice guy. We don't need a nice guy right now, we need a *dancer* and I don't think he can hack it.

I never thought I'd say, "Thank God for Kat Deeley," but THANK GOD FOR KAT DEELEY!!!

Her comment about the blatant double-standard in the judging was so unbelievably necessary. God bless her for that. And the excuses from the judges... "We're just trying to improve him as a dancer... If he wants to stand there and be upset about it, fine, but we're just trying to help." Wow. Way to blame Adechike for Kat's comment... I guess the lack of any and all constructive criticism for Jose was because you didn't want to improve him as a dancer?

And plenty of dancers have heart. I'm so sick of that line as well. If you want your show to be about heart, choose any of the billion sob stories of triumphing over adversity that they show during the auditions. I mean, if the dancing just doesn't matter...

So angry about the judges, so happy Kat called them on it, and SOOOOOOO happy that the audience soundly booed the judges for it.

vote to eliminate Billy? He is definetly not the one who needs to go home, hes a fantastic soloist, just needs to connect more with partners, and be more honest..Not crazy about Adechike, but when he smiles and lets go he is a good dancer, but still think he will go home this or next week...as for Alex, he was a sure to win this year, i was very saddened to see what happened...and I love lauren too, shes a strong dancer.
  • Little_miss_pinky
If only we could vote to eliminate Billy Bell.
  • CMG
I'm not sure what show you were watching, but Billy's performance last night was the best Browadway performance the show has ever seen. His dancing is light years ahead of Kent, Jose, Adechike, and Jose in terms of maturity. Kent comes across as a child on stage. Lauren's "emotions" read like a little girl trying to act like an adult, and Adechike looks just plain terrified. If anyone should go, it should be one of those 3.
  • Lostindodge
Amen, Terrible partner and no standout performances.
  • Lauren7
I agree completely I think Billy is so one dimensional. Plus he looks mad everytime the judges critisize him... I dunno just something I have noticed.
  • Dina
I think the judges have been very harsh on Adichike. He has done so well and every week they are rude and mean to him?!
