Channing Cooke does hip hop!

I know I’m supposed to be on a posting break for the holidays but this shocked me enough that I had to log on and make a post! Channing Cooke (S6) is definitely one of those fusion hip hop/contemporary dancers! She actually considers herself more hip hop than contemporary. Judging from just the show, I would never have guessed that! Wow, the things you learn after the show is over. That being said, here she is in the front with all that swag!

    This explains a lot. She didn't seem quite right on the show, and that's because she wasn't allowed to be herself. Wish we'd gotten to see this version on air.

    She did say in her exit interview that she was disappointed she didn't get to do hip hop before being eliminated. I liked her, and voted for her....but oh well.
  • YESSS! the fans over at Channing's thread on IDF were just admiring her BUCKNESS last week. She is most definitely BUCK :)

    She's doing fine in the video, but to do great, I think she needs to work a bit on her isolations and locking and popping. She needs to hit harder and then loosen up her transitions, like how Ivan does it. Everything seems to be in the middle ground right now. That's just my opinion though.

    A great overall dancer. I wish Channing was in our top 10 :[

    I agree. Except the top 10 part. Lovely girl and dancer though for sure. Things just didn't work out too well for her on the show, dance wise.
  • Woah! See, this is the type of stuff SYTYCD needs to tell the audience about.
    This shows a whole other side to Channing, which I would have never guessed!

    WHOAHHHH who is that because i definitely wouldn't have guessed it was Channing! haha although...this really doesn't surprise me. i had a feeling she might have something else buried in her that she hadn't had the chance to put forward on the show. man, i wish she got hip-hop now because from these, she would have KILLED it

    yea...she's amazing. better than some of the finalists on sytycd season 6. talk about having some bad luck...
