Top 4: Ellenore, Jakob, Ashleigh and Legacy? =) yes yes
  • JL
Oh my jesus Jean Marc Genereux is a god!
he's just such a funny petite french man :)
last season his quickstep for vitolio and asuka was great! Love him
  • dontworry
I am sorry, but, how many times does America have to say they don't want Karen or Victor in the top 10 before the judges listen? They are fine dancers (all of the top 20 are great,) but, they are not connecting with America, otherwise they wouldn't have been in the bottom more than once. I hope the judges don't send the wrong people home this week.
  • Brittany
Not a fan of Ashleigh's she is beautiful but without Jakob I think we will see her weaknesses. Let's be honest Jakob could make anyone look good. She is lucky she has him because otherwise I think she would've been gone along time ago. Next week we are going to see her weaknesses for sure!! This is not can America partner!

I love Noelle she was great in her contemporary piece!!!
  • meenama
I agree that in the partnership of Jakob/Ashleigh, the engine is Jakob. Ashleigh will be very exposed if she draws Nathan, Legacy or hubby Ryan next week. She should be okay with Russell. However believe Jakob will be brilliant EVEN if he is partnered by Mollee!!! My perfect scenario is that he is partnered with Kathryn.

Do they draw their new partners from a hat?

Jakob and Ashleigh's Cha Cha I thought was among the worst of the night. Maybe it was the choreography, concept and/or costumes, but something didn't sit well. For her style, Ashleigh dissapointed me. They're similar to Jeanette and Brandon of last season: sexy Latin ballroom dancer and flawless Contemporary dancer. However compared to Jeanette and Brandon's Cha Cha, they one stank. While Karen isn't as consistent, her Samba, Cha-Cha and Tango all were breath-taking. I'm sure she performed it technically well, but there was no "it" factor. I have no doubt she's in the Top 10, and maybe Top 4, she needs to work on her own style. I'll wait until next week to see how she performs in her solo to make my final judgement.
Also, Nathan went beyond my expectations with Hip Hop. While Mollee struggled which hurt their overall performace, I thought this was one of last night's highlights. I see him in the Top 10, without a doubt. Like Adam said, breaking up this partnership will do him good.
Lastly, I don't see what the judges and America see in Noelle. Her solo was good and last night's Contemporary was great, but she isn't a stand-out to me. I felt Channing was a much better technical dancer as demonstrated by both of her Tyce-choreographed performances. I see chemistry with her and Russell, but she isn't a performer like Karen, Ashleigh or Ellenore. Her samba was awful, and I thought Russell carried last week's foxtrot. I don't see her going very far.
And one last shout out to Legacy and Kathryn: woohoo!
  • hatinghaters
Sad, that you have to but really good dancers down to make your favorite stand out!
  • michelle
Noelle is a lot better technically than Channing...and i am a big channing fan...but Noells lines are better and she is lighter when she dances. Plus she gets into her character more than Channing did. Once again, not a Channing hater at all, she should have been top 10, but Noelle is better.
  • Mel
You maybe right about this. I like Channing as much as Noelle but Channing´s Jazz and Contemporary that she did with Victor did nothing for me. They weren´t bad or anything but for some reason I was left emotionless and will forget about them by the end of the season. But Noelle and Russell´s Contemporary (keep in mind Russell is a Krumper), absolutely breathtaking. Amazing.
  • yaniel
I totally agree with Michelle I think Noelle is better than people give her credit. Has anyone taken the time to watch Ashleigh in the numbers just Ashleigh. Her first number last night she did absolutely nothing but walk around and be lifted. Than is not dancing. We know she can partner but can she dance??? I would like to see Noelle and Jakob together I think America would change their minds about Noelle!!!!
  • ihn
if Nigel and the producers actually read this sight, they may consider asking Channing to be the alternate. From the amount of emails that were posted on various sites, not to mention the twitter comments by so many (even lilC) they should take the time to seriously consider Channing as the alternate. how disgraceful it was that they changed the SAVE YOU LIFE SOLO rules to keep Karen. Clear favoritism! I lost all respect for Nigel and the show and could not even get myself to watch last night
  • freida
Was that Katee I saw assisting Tyce? : )
  • Teena
I caught that in the replay too. Love Katee!

Someone's going to have to hold me down if Karen doesn't get voted off this time. Something tells me Nigel wants her in the tour. Come on 8:00, I'm so excited for tonights show!
  • Cecilia
I totally disagree. I know Mollee will get through, but she is such a little girl, that she leaves me totally cold. I always feel I'm watching a junior high school musical when I see her. She is undoubtedly talented, but she is still so immature. I like all of the other girls. They are talented and mature, and can pull of a sexy dance without looking childish. The worse dance they could have given Mollee is the CanCan. This dance used to be danced by tough, Parisiennes (thus the no underwear.) These were the "exotic" pole dancers of the time, not a sweet little Mollee.
  • Terrill
Girl I agree! What do they see in her? She should've gone last week! If they send another female home before her I am officially going to stop watching the show!!! Karen SUCKS!!!!!
  • GAH!!!!
    katherine has NO personality!!!!!!!!
  • meeh
whoa.... am i the only one who isnt feeling LEGACY at all!!! i am absolutley disappointed in the fact that they are protecting LEGACY to get into the top ten. using his bboy skills in a jazz routine is a cop out. do you guys remember season three with hok and dominic and how often the judges criticized them for their lack of technical training in contempo and jazz pieces? i remember in the group routine last week, four of the dancers did double pirohuettes and LEGACY did an air flare??? hello?? trying to hide his weaknesses. im all for using what you know to make pieces more intriguing and unique but come on... the show is turning into american idol where judges and producers are trying to hard to shove their favorite dancers down our throat.
  • michelle
I really like Noelle...dont know why people say she hasnt shown us anything. Still think she has had the best solo, and i still have not seen a girl do a move like she did when she picked up russell and flipped him over her. Go Noelle!
  • yogigal
can we vote off laurie ann gibson?
  • all talk,no walk.....idk,maybe if she choreographed a group routine,and killed it,then I can tolerate her presence...otherwise,no...
  • LCynthia
i liked battlefield from this summer. but this season no one was able to carry out a great performance like Jeanine and Brandon.
  • unicornfarts
i totally agree. i feel like all the dancers are of a much higher caliber, but none bring the charisma or personality that brandon, jeanette, jeanine, and evan brought on top of technicality.
  • unicornfarts
and LAG's choreo doesn't help. maybe she's just a one hit wonder.
  • LCynthia
i liked battlefield from this summer. but this season no one was able to carry out a great performance like Jeanine and Brandon.
  • marissa
even adam shankman hinted that she sucks haha
  • christine
omgosh i actually laughed out loud when he said that!
  • liesl
Yes please! ALL of her routines have sucked. Even Battlefield, that was saved by the dancers. The Lady Gaga routine was stupid and last night's was even stupider. She picks powerful music but her choreo does not match the intensity or the mood of the music. She's too much into the psychological mumbo jumbo of each piece. Dont like Jamal Sims or Lil C. I guess NappyTabs would have to do [sigh]. Where is Dave Scott or Shane Sparks?
  • LCynthia
Shane Sparks!!!! Or Luther from SYTYCD Canada!
  • Lana
I find myself sitting here scratching my head week after week that we get someone like LAG or Jamal when they have Dave Scott at their disposal. Makes zero sense!
  • poopybutt
Do you think Karen and Victor will be the alternates for the tour?

I wouldn't be surprised if they picked Channing instead.
  • liesl
Nigel definitely wants Karen on the tour. I would guess that if Karen, Noelle and Mollee were in the bottom 3, they would pick Noelle or Mollee to go.
  • tntdynomite
I will be so disappointed if they keep Karen!
  • I just have to throw in that I feel really bad for Karen. She's definitely a victim of the overpraise of the judges. It's pretty much what they did to Kayla last season. I don't think she should be in the Top 10, but I think she's having a bad time of it already, going through a divorce and all cannot be easy and announcing it to the world, well, that probably made it worse.
  • itsmee
how come everyone hates karen so much? i think she's very talented and has a lot of charisma. i do think she has that star quality the judges talk about. ppl shouldnt hate just because she has sex appeal.
  • sab1234
i agree, why does everyone hate her so much?
  • Hammer
You thought Kayla was overpraised? Maybe at times but she was undoubtedly the most professional and best overall dancer in season 5.
  • I'm not saying Kayla didn't deserve it, but they put her way up on this pedestal and when the judges do that, it seems like the person they "like" somehow piques to early. We didn't get to vote the first two weeks so I think that the outcome would have been different.
  • tntdynomite
I didn't even think about that, but I think that is a better choice. There has not been one dance that Karen has done that I would want to see again. All of the other girls in the top 6 have dances that I would like to see them perform again.
  • irishdanceluvr1
Nigel just wants to keep karen because he is a pervert. I definitely don't think she has that "it" factor they keep saying she has.
  • poopybutt
It is sad that last night was thought of as amazing. The level was great, but certainly not amazing.
We have yet to have those memorable performances this season.
Watching old videos of seasons past, this seasons dancers are not blowing me out of the water.
Lets hope it kicks into gear with this top ten.
  • I still blame the STAGE!!!
It's hard to get a good shot, there's not much props to play for (stairs, levels, etc.),the lighting seems off sometimes, and it overwhelmes the dancers!
  • irishdanceluvr1
I think part of why this season is boring is the choreography. The dancers are definitely very talented, but some of the choreography has just been boring. I miss Mia!!!!
  • lollypop
i agree! i have been pretty disappointed with this season thus far. it's like just meh. okay they danced. meh. don't feel as connected to them as the prev seasons! especially after a great season 5 which just ended not too long ago with fantastic dancers like jeanine <3, brandon, kayla, melissa etc. this season has just been boring
  • I totally agree. I'm not even wanting to watch anything but Fear (Kathryn & Legacy) and the Travis Wall routine with Ryan/Ellenore. There's nothing like Season 4! I rewatched almost every routine.
  • Cecilia
I agree. Season 4 was so exciting, and just look at all the wonderful, talented personalities: Joshua, Twitch, Will, Mark, Gev,Katee,Courtney, Chelsea, Comfort, Kerrington, and Jessica. Not to mention Chelsea Trails. I watched all the Joshua and Katee routines over and over, plus many others (the bed-Kerringotn/Twitch, and the Door--Twitch/Katee.) Too many others to mention.
This season, I love Russel and Legacy in particular.
  • unicornfarts
i've been watching ashkobb's whatcha say routine. me gusta :D
  • Fanny
I just want Mollee to dance so much better than she's dancing.

She's so adorable and charming, I just can't stand it when I feel like; "Surely you could have put more into that!"

I think splitting her up with Nathan will either be the push she needs to really come into her own, or she'll absolutely crash and burn.

    I'm hoping for the former.
  • liesl
I am not a fan of hers, I think she doesnt have the depth of feeling or musicality that the other dancers have. I do hope her ankle feels better.

I am a fan of Nathan so I am looking forward to the split. If they are safe tonight, I just want both of them to have a dance (with another partner) that they just absolutely kill, no questions asked. So even if they are thrown out next, they each have an awesome dance to do on the tour.
  • marissa
someone needs to get laurieann gibson out of here. the only piece she did that was semi-acceptable was the brandon/jeanine one, and it was only okay because the dancers were amazing.
  • marycos
I even thought that routine put Jeannine in danger. It was her weakest. It seems to be a hard style to adapt to.
But I'd be interested to see two good hip-hop dancers do a Laurieann routine, so I could see what it is supposed to look like... Don't know that any of the girls this season would shine with a Laurieann piece?
  • so true....if it weren't for her, maybe Karen will still be on the show...
  • messing
I'm in love with tonight... let me just start by saying that. I'm breaking it down by couple but this is just my overall opinion - I'm not going to waste time with everything being technical, well, just because.

Ryan/Ellenore: I like Ellenore. I think she's adorable. I think she's the only reason why this duo works. Ryan is way too much for me. He needs to cut his hair -- it's just a big too "look at me, I'm hot" for me - but to each his own. He's lucky for Ellenore because she's adorable and a good dancer. Ellenore should be top 10 - Ryan, well that should be up to judges.

Katherine/Legacy: LOVE them. As in, LOVE them. I think she is absolutely gorgeous and she always dances beautifully. I know Legacy sometimes gets crap for relying on his b-boy moves but atleast he's using what he knows. LOVE this couple. And LOVE Katherine. She just looked effortless tonight.

Karen/Victor: OMG. Why are they still here? Victor is boring and not memorable. Karen. Well she looks like a $5.00 hooker most of the time. I want them both gone. If anything - atleast Karen. She's god-awful.

Mollee/Nathan: Alright you Mollee/Nathan fans. Don't hate me. I like the two of them. I do. I think they're adorable as people. But I think they were put on this pedestal from the beginning and in reality - they just don't live up. Nathan was great last night. Did you see those turns?! But Mollee? She was just eh. Nothing special. I don't think they even begin being as good as what people want and wish they could be. These past couple of weeks have overall just been overall disappointing. To be honest.

Russell/Noelle: Ok. I'll be straight. The first 2 weeks - not so sure about this couple. But holy cow, they have really come together!!!!!! Did you see them tonight!? Noelle in that contemporary routine. SO glad she got her style - she shown through and through. Those lines were absolutely GORGEOUS!!! And our little street Russell -- well he just is great. They both deserve to be there tomorrow and the next day, and the next. If one of them goes home, it will be obvious its all a set up and that will make me extremely sad. They were - BY FAR - my favorite couple of the night.

Ashleigh/Jakob: I'm really starting to enjoy them. I honestly wasn't in love with them from the get go but I think, honestly, that had more to do with me not liking Ashleigh. She's growing on me. They both better definitely stay. they're probably another one of those that I think it will all be a set-up if they go home. I
  • Mel
You and me have almost the exact same thoughts except for two things, I like Ryan and Russell/Noelle were not the best couple for me that night. The Contemporary was breathtaking, my 1st/2nd favorite of the night (can´t decide between that and Jazz), but I was not a fan of their Samba. Everything else you said, my thoughts are almost exactly identical.

I agree with all your other comments. I love Noelle she was great in her contemporary piece!!!
  • molly
russell is a fake!!!!!! he has been trained in so many other styles and it pisses me off when they say he is just a krumper like hell no!!! sorry i had to get that out there
  • whatever
Its the producers and judges you should be irritated with. Anyone with a brain can see Russell has TONS of training. And they don't just say he is a krumper, they say he has no formal training or hasn't taken any classes. Spare me the BS Nigel.
  • poopybutt
He even posted on the official website he has had 5 years of training! Nigel needs to stop giving the wrong impression. If he hadn't done that with Joshua, Katee may have won.
  • messing
no one ever said he was JUST a krumper. That is his style. Mollee is a "jazz" dancer but she is good a contemporary right? He's not the one up there "being a fake". They just have to give someone a style and thats where he mostly falls. Get off his back.
  • rekupp
Nathan was great in the hip hop, the choreography sucked.

Jakob is Jakob...he's great at what he does. He doesn't compel me whatsoever to pick up the phone, because I've seen it before. Give me something else. I don't know how the hell that was a lyrical jazz, since it was neither to the lyrics or carried any connotation that is associated with lyrical. Sonya should know better. Ashleigh is great, she's starting to rub off on me.

Noelle and Russell: terrible samba, alright contemporary. A little over the top Tyce, but great to see Noelle in her element.

ELLENORE SCOTT. Thank you for showing Ameriker what Broadway should look like! YES.
  • MilesAway
I thought i wouldnt like the Broadway because i generally have thought that style to be cheesy, but once again Ellenore has opened my eyes.
She pulled me into it, and it was scrumtralescent! I had to watch it over and over again.
Thank you, Ellenore Scott, for bringing a new light to this whole dance thing for the general public to see and feel
  • lieslb
I thought the Ashleigh / Jakob jazz was overpraised. I thought Ashleigh was a little bit stiff in her movement. Same thing, Jakob was overpraised in the cha cha. He is great, but not in the cha cha.

I thought Nathan was way better than Mollee in the hip hop. Even though I am not a fan of hers, I do hope her ankle gets better though. I am excited to see them dance with other people.

Lindy was meh. Ellenore was amazing in the broadway.

Legacy was overpraised in the jazz routine. I hate it when they cheat with the b-boy moves. Russell does not get the same treatment.

Samba was meh, Russell was better.
  • marissa
i agree!! especially about the ashleigh/jakob jazz. i felt that that number was just jakob doing extensions and ashleigh was just...there.
  • Grace
I feel like Ashleigh is always just there. Next week we will see!
  • chocolatelover
I agree that Ashleigh and Ryan have been props for their partners all season. It is going to be interesting to get them away from Jacob and Eleanor.
  • rek
Nigel bitches about feminine dancing, and look at that lyrical jazz. There is a reason no male dancers extend.
  • poopybutt
I know I am in the minority on this site, but Jakob is far from my favorite.
  • liesl
I totally agree. He is a very good contemporary but he is not the gift of dance as they are making him out to be. I think Ellenore is more versatile and a better performer. Jakob's hip hop was overpraised (I thought it was meh at best) and his cha cha was just OK. I do admire that he gives 100% for each dance, but so does everyone else (whether successfully or not). I am OK with him in the Top 4, but I am not sure I would vote for him to win, especially vs. Ellenore.
  • Tomturner
Ellenore has great legs, but have you seen her turn or jump yet??
  • itsmee
omg his hip hop was NOT overpraised. it was fierce! i watched it over and over
  • Ginny
I'm with you all .. I am not Jakob's fan AT ALL. Just b/c he has some technical ability, does not mean he's my fave. His personality rubs me the wrong way, at least what is shown on tv. I don't profess to know him or to be his best friend (ahem Trandrew, I don't care if he is nice in real life, he comes off icky on tv, and that's all that I care to know as a voter at home), I just see decent and at times overexaggerated dancing that doesn't seem organic at times. I can't appreciate him, and he is one of my least favorite of the bunch, by far.
  • Grace
I think Noelle and Russel's contemporary was incredible!!! WOW!!!
  • bittersweetmee19
i think if nathan was the only dancing the hip hop it would a have been amazing mollee really look in pain the all time and can-can yes they can can was amzing i think the problem with this couple is mainly mollee so im glas they are getting slip now!!!
  • Grace
I think Noelle and Russel's contemporary was incredible!!! WOW!!!
  • LCynthia
AGREED! Best performance of the night!!
  • tryn
I thought it was moving and HOT. At the beginning when Noelle rolled over the top of him with her legs split the image was so incredible and the paint....wow. I wish they'd used it just a little more. When Russell executed a flawless aerial I was amazed.

For some reason I always like the lyrical/contemporary more when they put them in all white or all black....(remember when Lacy and ??? did Dancing back in S3?)
  • unicornfarts
lacey and kameron. :) gotcha back.
  • tryn
    ty
  • my favorites are jakob and ellenore. they astound me with the way the can dance! i love it!
  • finnley
any fan of jakob and ellenore is a friend of mine.
  • becky1212
Completely agree. So in love with Jakob and Ellenore! They are great technically and performance-wise!
  • tryn
I hope that in top 10 we get to see Jakob and Ellenore dance together - especially in their own style. With the right choreographer and song they could blow the roof off the place.

But I have to admit - I'm more partial to Kathryn than I am Ellenore. I know she's not as favored, but something about her really gets me to pick up the phone. I think she's a dark horse, kiddies.
  • KJC
    WOW... tonight was AMAZING!

    Top Couple of the Night:
    JAKOB AND ASHLEIGH...
    - Lyrical Jazz - that piece was flawless and showed off Jakob's talent very well as well as Ashleigh's softer delicate side (she was soooo light, which ballroom dancers are generally not as they have to dig into the floor)
    - Cha Cha - holy crap! Ashleigh is AMAZING! She just kicked Karen's ass because she showed so much control and fire and likability and joy!

    2nd Couple of the Night:
    RYAN AND ELLENORE
    - Lindy Hop - I personally didn't like the choreography, but Ryan and Ellenore pulled it off very well, it was very clean and sharp and they kept me interested despite my lack of enthusiasm about the choreography.
    - Broadway - ELLENORE IS AMAZING! She was sharp... fully in character... technically flawless... I LOVE LOVE LOVE her... Ryan did a great job of getting in character, and noone else can pull off those lifts like he can.

    3rd of the Night:
    NATHAN AND MOLLEE
    - Hip-Hop - I had fun watching that routine, it wasn't the best hip-hop I've seen but Nathan just hit it really hard and he's really good at this genre. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how sharp Mollee was in all of that hip-hop movement. I thought this was a good routine... good... not great.
    - Can Can - HOLY CRAP - NATHAN'S TURNS WERE INSANE... those alone could save them from the bottom 3. I also had a lot of fun watching this routine and I think it is one of the better routines of the night. They did everything that was asked of them and I thought they did great.
(They are 3rd because they had one GOOD routine, and one GREAT routine, even though they didn't have an AMAZING routine, they didn't have a bad routine either)

    4th Couple of the Night:
    LEGACY AND KATHRYN
    - Jazz - That was sick... it showed off BOTH Legacy and Kathryn's strengths... they were both great! Legacy's crabwalks were SICK
    - Viennese Waltz - Kathryn did a respectable job with it, she was very graceful and looked like she belonged... BUT... Legacy was really really really bad for me... He did not have any grace at all and his technique is insanely poor... his arms and shoulder and feet were all bad...

    5th Couple of the Night:
    RUSSELL AND NOELLE
    - Samba - Wow that was painful to watch... Noelle as usual is great and gets the style, but Russell... he tried hard, but it just felt uncomfortable and it felt uncomfortable to watch.
    - Contemporary - I know a lot of people thought this was amazing, and I thought it was great as well, and I thought Russell did a great job in the routine and Noelle was fantastic. That being said, considering both dances, Legacy and Kathryn has a leg up, only because L&K's ballroom was not as bad as R&N's ballroom...

    Last Couple of the Night:
    VICTOR AND KAREN
    - Not going to comment on their routines because they will mostly be filled with negativity.

ONLY SAFE COUPLES FOR SURE IN MY OPINION ARE:
JAKOB / ASHLEIGH and RYAN / ELLENORE

    Who should go home:
Victor and Karen (but Mollee/Kathryn/Noelle might be in danger, who knows)
  • Rachel
I completely agree with you, esp saying that J/A and R/E are pretty much the only sure safe bets, and V/K are a sure bet to be in the bottom. I think the rest of the couples are pretty much up in the air. I wouldn't be surprised to see any others in the bottom. Victor has to go home tonight, i can't imagine the judges sending any other guy home over him. The girls are hard to predict though, I could see them sending Noelle home. I get some feeling that they don't completely love her.
  • Nick
I agree almost 100% with this

I feel like Ryan and Ellanore's Broadway didn't have enough chemistry.....they showed great emotion, just not with eachother

and I appriciate you not saying anything bad about Karen and Victor's hip hop.....everyone knows how bad it was, and it was polite of you to not kick them while they were down
  • tryn
My goodness we finally had a really exciting night on s6! I'm so relieved! Here's my personal breakdown:

Ellenore/Ryan: Their Lindy Hop was a lot of fun. Spotted a couple of sloppy lifts, but it makes sense when you discover that Ryan has a back injury and is still haulin' that woman around as much as they're asking him to. They both had GREAT personality for the performance and Ryan did a GREAT job getting down into the floor. Their Broadway number was danced with precision and personality, but was somewhat forgettable. Ryan was dancing very stiff during this routine. Ellenore was fabulous, as usual, and that extension from second position (point, flex, point) was eye-popping. 8/10 (Lindy) and 8/10 (Broadway)

Legacy/Kathryn: Jazz - WOW! SEXY NUMBER! Loved the music, the choreography, the performance, and the technique of the dancing for both. Excellent use of Legacy's B-boy skills. WAY TO GO! Waltz - Kathryn was the epitome of grace and poise and danced like a sweet goddess despite having to carry Legacy. Legacy's lack of training and technique betrayed him here. His footwork was very "clompy" (that was my word for it). I did appreciate his upper body line and arm/hand work. He listened to what he was told and worked very hard, but it is just going to take some more time for him to get the grace and movement of Viennese Waltz down. 10/10 (jazz) 6/10 (waltz)

Victor/Karen: tango - Victor got slammed a little too much IMO. He showed some real growth here. Nigel is right about his back, though. He needs to tuck his bum - and at his level he should know that. Karen was enjoyable in this routine. Didn't feel like she was trying to "vixen" her way through. She seemed to understand the stillness of the technique, but her feet were a little sloppy (hard to detect under that huge floppy skirt). Hip Hop - This sucked. I hated it. I thought they were trying too hard, were not in sync, and the whole thing just didn't work. Nope nope nope. 7/10 (tango) 3/10 (hip hop)

Russell/Noelle: Samba - *sigh* What the heck happened to her hips? The song emphasized hip movement and with Noelle she was moving everything BUT. No figure eight in her hip work. No heat. Russell did okay - but the overall routine didn't work. Contemporary - SIZZLE! Not only was it hot and sexy, it was beautiful and danced immaculately. I enjoyed this contemporary routine the most of the whole night. Noelle's lines were gorgeous and Russell surprised with his grace and fluidity. 6/10 (samba) 10/10 (contemporary)

Ashleigh/Jakob: Lyrical Jazz - BEAUTIFUL. This was a lovely piece. The music was fascinating, the performance was lovely, and they danced it like stars. Gave me tears and chills. Cha Cha - Well-done. Ashleigh was in her element and she knew it. And she let us know that she knew it. Jakob did better than I thought he would. I don't think the judges were generous enough with him for just how Ballroom he looked. 10/10 (lyrical jazz) 9/10 (cha cha)

Nathan/Mollee: Hip Hop - abysmal. The only thing that saved this was Nathan actually looked like he was having fun. Can Can - Felt lively and fun, but Mollee seemed awkward. Was at least less of a disaster than the hip hop. 4/10 (hip hop) 6/10 (can can)

i know that there are a lot of karen and victor's haters out there... but the choreo and the music selection of the hip hop was just really terrible... there's nothing they can do when they get such poor routine....

I don't hate Karen and Victor at ALL! I think they gave Victor way too much harsh criticism on his Tango - which I thought was impressive. In fact, his tango technique was better than Karen's, but it didn't seem like the judges were looking at her feet at all. The only thing I could fault Victor on with the tango was that his bum was indeed sticking out and any first year dancer knows better than to let that happen. But overall, he's been slowly coming out of his shell.

I agree that he and Karen had nothing to work with when it came to the hip hop routine. But even what they HAD they did poorly - the beginning was terribly out of sync and halfway through (when she climbed his back) the entire pace just died. I don't hate EITHER of these dancers - I think they're both incredibly talented. It was just a very rough night for them.

    I hate Laurieann Gibson.
She needs to leave. Her choreography is HORRIBLE. She choreographs for singers, not dancers. The other routines she choreographed were horrible as well. The reason why Jeanine and Brandon's pop jazz was good was because they danced the hell out of it.
  • becky1212
Yeah, her routines don't live up to the hype they get in the pre-packages. In the pre-package they all say how intense she is and blah blah blah, but I feel like there is not a lot of substance to the actual piece.

I happen to be in agreement with this. I was thinking tonight "Ms. Gibson seems to be choreographing for singing engagements, not dancing engagements." I know she's got a lot of passion, but her last two routines have not been impressive to me at all. The only one I've liked was Jeanine and Brandon's.
  • bryantphan
Yeah. I bet if Brandon and Jeanine's routine was given to someone else, it would have been horrific. The only way Laurieann can get amazing routines is if she has the top 2 dances, and throw in every single move she knows.

Her last two routines were bad. Song choice, the choreography, etc. It was all singing entertainment choreography. She needs to go back to Making The Band.

sorry. love me some laurieann. to each their own, i suppose.
  • yogigal
I love her on making the bad. I love what she does for boy bands/girl groups. But she is WAY out of her league!!! I was actually embarassed watching her the past few weeks.
  • jcaye
Noelle was seriously not that bad. Can't you remember Channing's samba? I think its obvious who they want gone this week. VOTE FOR NOELLE!!!!!!!
  • tryn
I felt like Channing and Noelle's Samba had similar problems. They were both unfortunate performances for talented dancers, but I've found Noelle's personality WAY more intriguing than Channing's ever was.
  • I used to have high hopes for Channing in the audition week, but somehow she wasn't as lively and fun like when we see the audition package!
I blame Phillip....anybody know what happened betwen them? The judges hinted there was some partnership issues...
